Thousands of Minnesota families haven’t been able to work or leave home for two months due to ICE. Utility bills are stacking up big time.

Anyone can give to this fund to directly and immediately help with those expenses. Xcel, CenterPoint, and other for-profit utilities should be pitching in too.

⚠️ There have been multiple reports of ICE agents using disguises and deceptions as their presence in Minnesota continues. Reports have included agents posing as construction workers, delivery drivers, and even electrical workers.

There is no automatic prohibition on shutoffs in the winter. Customers need to proactively reach out to their utility to access Cold Weather Rule protections. Over 7k MN households were disconnected Oct-Dec 2025. More on the Cold Weather Rule here: cubminnesota.org/know-your-ri...

‼️Xcel Energy customers in the metro: Xcel has suspended disconnections for the 7-county area through the end of February. This includes Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties.

New rate cases: Xcel Gas and Otter Tail Power

Meanwhile, Xcel is seeking to charge its MN electric ratepayers $100mill more per year just to increase its authorized ROE. Xcel is also pursuing an excessive rate increase for its natural gas customers to significantly grow its authorized return. More here: cubminnesota.org/new-rate-cas...
