I love this and am 100% making a playlist this weekend too. My only hope is that I'm too late by the time I finish it Sunday.

We started with just allowing everything for her age. But if you choose custom settings, or something like that, it gives you different groups of creators based on topic and you can choose which ones to allow. Then we subscribed to some more channels we like, and that is all she sees.

We've had to block a bunch of stuff. We also changed her settings to only allow certain groups of creators. We were getting a lot of religious stuff I didn't want her to see, along with families who just exploited their kids for the $$, so we changed how we had it set up.

I have a pre-K 5 year old. I would be fine with "crap" but also I say "shit" in front of my kid way too much and she's been saying it sometimes for over a year, so I'd be really happy if she picked up "crap." I also know LOTS of parents who would not be ok with it. So I don't think you are a prude.

Between them stealing license plates and using mostly rental cars, we will probably never know.

I had a former boss who was basically this! High cholesterol even though he ate a vegan diet and ran 3+ miles every day. Not sufficiently controlled with medication. Had a heart attack even though he was one of the healthiest people I know. Maybe he is a marvel mutant and no one told him?

And my first day at MNIT I was handed the 3 year roadmap to get off of MAXIS. Obviously that didn’t happen.

We overlapped at DHS, I remember you from 444 Lafayette. I did 5 at Hennepin, and almost 20 now at the State. Moving to MNIT saved me, I would not still be at DHS.

I have an original MAXIS coffee mug from the 1989 rollout, though I didn’t start at the county until 2001. I do miss county work some days. Or maybe I just miss my 20s…

It’s been a day. To top it off, my kid stole my towel and clothes while I was in the shower. My strong desire for a second bathroom just changed to a second bathroom with a lock on the door.

Yes, we are still reviewing our options, but Super Summer is looking promising. Minneapolis Gymnastics has availability too, we had already signed her up for two weeks there. We really wanted to keep her at the park where she has been doing preschool for the last two yeas for most of the summer

And there are YMCA day camps for Kindergartens still open, but I’m not ready to put my 5 year old on a bus by herself yet and am absolutely not driving to Lakeville.

Minneapolis Parks is what we missed today. I’ve learned Minneapolis Schools Super Summer is Sunday, so we may be trying that.

After crying in the bathroom I walked into my managers office and told him what happened. “But it’s February” he says. Like yes, but most are in January. It’s just bonkers.

I’m still reeling from missing summer camp sign up. My kid’s bestie’s parents also missed it so we are strategizing together. Having someone in the same boat and a beer helps things.

That was a terrible commute. Left half hour early and couldn’t get home before my husband had to leave for work. So he took the kid to work, I met them here, and now me and the kid are eating burgers and I got a lovely dunkel style beer.

oh fuck. I fucked up. I had summer camp registration on my calendar for tomorrow. It is today. They are all full. We have no backup plan. I'm going to go cry in the bathroom now.

What’s bonkers to me is that sports betting is NOT legal in Minnesota. How do we have ads for a thing that is not legal to do? Can I just run a cocaine ad? Or murder for hire?

I do think they may be fucking with us. Or what? Spying via our WiFi? Seems that would be easier by car? Watching vulnerable people? But sometimes they don’t stop over houses for more than a half minute. Mapping something?

Agreed, I really want to know what they are doing!!! My neighborhood drone chat (lol, I can’t believe this is where we are) has a lot of theories. They’ve been mapping them and have figured out a standard route.

Wasn’t home for the drone show tonight, but saw a few as we left tumbling class at Lake Hiawatha. Tried to intercept two of them by car and got close before they raced off across the golf course.

Capsule wouldn't deliver my med because there were supply chain issues so they decided they just wouldn't deliver it.

I have a few co-workers dealing with that and it is bonkers how much it costs. I don't understand how anyone pays for it.

I know, but we already have a lot of those expenses. We are paying for camp for this summer. She's in expensive tennis lessons already. We put away money for college monthly now. Piano may be the next big one, but maybe ukulele is good enough?

I'm hoping for a few years reprieve. She's too young for travelling sports and as of now we don't need before/after school care. There is talk of a piano though...

Maybe unpopular among the urbanists, but I am 100% in favor of pharmacy drive-throughs. I don't want to be in line with contagious people. I especially don't want immune compromised people in line with contagious people. All other drive-throughs can be banned.

I think I just signed up and paid for the last session of expensive swim school for my kid ever. Really looking forward to not having to pay for swim school OR preschool next year.
