We bought our house 10 years ago this month. This month every fire alarm in the house has, one by one, hit their expiration date, terrorizing the dogs with alarms and not being satisfied with a battery change. It took us four alarms to realize what was happening.

Preschool decided to not split up the rest of the year into winter and spring and just do one mega session for which I just got the bill. We have VERY inexpensive preschool through the Minneapolis Parks, but charging for January-May all at once is shocking. 🤯

Tested positive for Covid yesterday. Felt like a cold Monday, so I went into the office for my computer and worked from home. Yesterday was awful- fever, body aches and chills. I slept for 14 hours last night. Today it’s just a bad cold with slight fever. 😷

Highly recommend a fancy bubble making kit that has lots of wands and ropes for giant bubbles for the 3-7 year old crowd. They loved it.

7 kids showed up. They played at the park and played with bubbles and had a great time!

Woodpeckers have taken to pecking our neighbor’s garage. It’s recently painted and they are doing some real damage. Some sort of insect must be living in the walls.

They completely redid the Hennepin County side and had the grand opening a few weeks ago. New visitor center, short treetop trail, playgrounds, picnic grounds and more. Totally worth an hour of your time.

Met my parents and biked trails around the Coon Rapids Dam with the kid today. Perfect fall day for biking and being outside. So glad MEA forced me to take a day off.
