I'm constantly trying (/failing) to get this point across.

If you're a trained expert in a field, then it may be worthwhile to question the scientific consensus of your peers.

If you're not, the scientific consensus is absolutely the best you can do and it's arbitrary foolishness to disregard it.

So I think it's fair to say that only a tiny, tiny percentage of the US population was tied up with Epstein. But weirdly maybe 70% of the people in the field of evolutionary psychology.

The main character lady is believable, though, in that she’s management and she’s pushing everyone to use LLMs but it immediately hallucinates errors. I’m hoping the ICE episode portrays both sides in a similar light (ie, “some people think this is good, but they’re wrong”)

And from my partner, paraphrased: the problem with the show is the patients are framed as parasitical, to paint the doctors as more noble for helping them. It feels self-congratulatory to aligning yourself with those help such "undeserving" people, but it breeds resentment and contempt, too.

This is the kind of thing you project onto a medical drama when you let your cynicism rule everything around you.
