Well that was just a damn good Huntsville team.

Gonna be real hard to win this league. Glad for the home playoff game.

Let’s go CFC

Soccer as usual can be cruel.

CFC women looked the better side for most of the game but just couldn’t quite finish.

Regardless amazing run by CFC.

Shit.

Dominating most of the game and then get unlucky.

Let’s go ladies. Still some time.

So is our conference just really
Good and the rest of the league terrible?

CFC women out here destroying teams. I’ll take it.

But what a finish.

I’ll take it CFC

Yah it’s less the root cause but more it poured a ton of gasoline on an already lit fire.

It’s the favorite of mine out of the series.

I’d take more Hank/Ludwig crossover.

I mean in the interview it really really seems like he does.

Maybe it’s all BS but it didn’t come across that way.

I'm not against this, but it seems this neo American manufacturing is low cost production without bells & whistles the US used to pride itself on

This is why I still think that the internet, not the issues, are the root cause of this culture war. People (including journalists…who are people) imagine the loudest, angriest positions as default positions because those are the ones that get eyeballs in an ultra-competitive attention economy.

Booooooooooooooooooooooo.

They may have won, they def didn’t paint anything red.

…why

If USL has been less hostile and patient, CFC would have joined just a few years later most likely.

The entire plan with that rich owner (who owns the red wolves) was we can force CFC to sell to you.

It backfired.

USL and the owner never expected CFC to survive and not sell to them.

03.04.2025 20:31 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

That’s a can of worms to explain haha.

USL did approach CFC. At the time CFC said no. Not in a never way but in a the finances don’t make sense right now (other USL teams even told us the money didn’t work).

USL didn’t want to wait so they found a rich owner and pitched him on Chattanooga.

Was happy to see CFC players stand up to this.

Pretty classless. There’s zero chance we’d have attempted that nonsense if it’d have been at their place.

03.04.2025 14:52 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

I’d say it’s 100% USLs fault.

Then it became Bobs fault too, USL tried to get him to waive territory rights when it was clear we’d make the mls hop otherwise.

CFC had no real choice. It was MLS or die.

Do I have to.

5. Not sure how I forgot this, but that CFC goal was so beautiful.

This is ultimately what mattered….even if right now it’s hard to not be bummed out.

The city showed up and made it one of the best atmospheres in a while.

Soccer be cruel sometimes.

03.04.2025 03:06 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Reality is that crowd being only the 4th biggest in CFC history, and like 6x bigger than the biggest CRW game's actual attendance, tells you who the real winner in Chattanooga is anyway.

03.04.2025 02:02 β€” πŸ‘ 15    πŸ” 5    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

3. While I’m sure there were shenanigans by both sides. Red wolves trying to plant flags on the middle of the field was pretty classless.

4. It’s pretty clear USL royally fucked up. CFC isn’t going anywhere and the RW are never going to have the kind of support we have.

03.04.2025 02:28 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

Thoughts (not that mine matter).

1. I’ll get this out of the way, losing sucks, losing that particular game really sucks. Oh well. Doesn’t matter, cfc got paid tonight.

2. I knew there would be more blue than red in that stadium, but Chattanooga showed up even bigger than I expected. Feels good

03.04.2025 02:28 β€” πŸ‘ 5    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Early turnout. Very blue. I’ll take it.
