hey all, it’s been a while and i’ve got so much catching up to do!

i’m currently five days post-op from my hysterectomy AND my bf and i became homeowners last week!

my work laptop broke before my day even started and I have to get an ultrasound in 3 hours and not piss myself.

I appreciate your openness! You’ve definitely provided more insight that what I’ve found online and I feel a little more prepared with the questions I have for the doctor

I do have a potty squat! Luckily my boyfriend is going to help when I go to sit or get up from the toilet but I’m not looking forward to not being able to poop

I appreciate you mentioning more gas, because I know that I’ll be craving something but if it’s just going to cause more pain I can resist

I’m definitely going to grocery shop pre-surgery because I know bedridden me will want fast food, but since I won’t be able to work out I know I’ll definitely have to keep my bedside table meals nutritious

I keep telling myself only 3 more periods and then I’ll be done. Oh no I’ve been there 😭 I’ve had to wear pads before a workout when I wasn’t even due for a period, and I know I’ll most likely be spotting post-surgery

I’ve had to call out of every job once a month until I started working from home and I’ve tried to line up vacations specifically when I don’t have my period so I can imagine the struggle. With this surgery I feel like I’m being freed from my own body

Yes despite what’s currently going on in my country I’m lucky to live in a blue state where it’s not hard to find a doctor willing to help. Insurance is awful, but at least I haven’t been told “no” right from the start

I’m due for mine the week before surgery so idk what karma caused that, so I won’t experience those symptoms again until a month after having the procedure and I’m sure it’ll feel very weird lol
