This line up looks good - except I think Sarr starts for either Lolo or Palhinha.
I'm ok with Johnson starting.
Opportunity to watch Spurs at a sensible hour for me - 10.30pm.
Looking forward to the game.

Agreed.
Look at where Romero was to get the assist for the 4th goal. Fairly sure that was not in the game plan.
These players can play attacking football - let them play.
I think it's a bit of both there. We saw the best of Xavi maybe because he had more time against lower quality press. However, I think the players have collectively decided to show more attacking intent. They felt the wrath of fans last game. I also think Udogie improves our attack.
05.11.2025 21:28 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Any excuse to watch it again
05.11.2025 08:48 β π 47 π 13 π¬ 6 π 3Agreed. That finish was top drawer.
No keeper in the world is saving that shot. β½οΈ
Should be 2-0 or 3-0 really. Happy to see better attacking intent though.
04.11.2025 21:01 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Agreed on Lolo.
Udogie adds new dimensions to our attack. Xavi playing well also.
Much better.
Xavi showing he has the quality too.
Let's hope we see a big improvement.
Big test for the manager - and the players too. They look frustrated.
I think TF will get the full season.
Just such an embarrassing look for the Board and Vinai Venkatesham if they have to make a change mid-season.
I'm assuming that Vinai influenced the decision to change the manager - could be wrong there?
I agree with you on NLD - then PSG away follows that.
Results not as important as how they play. There needs to be some attacking intent in the next 4 games - if not, that might be it for TF.
The more likely scenario is that he gets a full season. Embarrassing for the Board if he has to go.
Many experts still mock Ange's tactics in that Chelsea game with 9 men.
However, it was very obvious that Ange's instruction was continue to attack and find a winning goal. And they had a couple of chances.
Didn't work and they lost - but they had a red hot go.
The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. Itβs nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It is about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom - Danny Blanchflower
03.11.2025 14:31 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Agree with Milo's quote:
"I'd rather lose having a go than win being meek".
If Spurs play with some bravery and genuine attacking intent, they will generally win more than lose anyway.
I get what you mean Hal - but that style of football is just brilliant to watch. I love watching both of those teams play. Progressive and beautiful football β½οΈβ½οΈ
03.11.2025 04:17 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0We probably do need move on from the Ange era. He's gone and not coming back.
However I still believe Season 3 under Ange would have been spectacular.
I do like TF - but this is a manager downgrade and complete reset for Spurs sadly.
My guess is that literally millions of Japanese baseball fans going completely crazy in bars all over Japan.
02.11.2025 04:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I don't watch much baseball - but this game is incredible.
02.11.2025 04:12 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0A reminder that these Spurs players can score brilliant goals if the game tactics allow them.
Every Spurs player had a touch in this goal scored by Obobert. Yes I know Madders and Dom were playing. But Spurs have the quality to be brave in attack.
Video from Chris Cowlin
Just watched a replay of the 2nd Test of 1990 Ashes series played at Old Trafford. A 14-10 win for Australia against a gallant Great Britain in maybe the best rugby league Test ever played.
Later tonight, the 2nd Test will be played at the new Everton Stadium.
Can England level the series?
Hannah, firstly very well done on TGIAG pod with Milo and Stef. Great to her your views.
Yes we have a few players out - but not as bad as last season when virtually the 1st 11 selections were all injured.
Spurs are still fielding a strong experienced team.
.....Eventually I will create a team that has success and it won't be because of working on set pieces.
29.10.2025 07:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Interesting quote from Ange on page 34 in Tom Barclay's new book "Miracle I'm Bilbao" from season 1.
"Enough of you (journalists) have done enough research to know this is not the 1st time I've been questioned about set pieces in my coaching career......
Well written article Jack.
I fear that you may be correct - but hoping that this set piece trend quickly passes.
Football should be about goals from progressive ball movement. It is called the beautiful game for good reason.
So credit to TF so far - but eventually I do want to be entertained.
A great win for the Kangaroos against England in front of 60,000 at Wembley Stadium last night.
Reece Walsh finding new levels on his game.
A great rivalry. Can England find some answers before the 2nd Test?
Agreed.
The game sticks in my head was that 4-1 win over Villa last November. Exhilarating football. So excited that I could not get back to sleep. Maybe the best quality football they played under Ange - then the injuries started.
Let's hope TF can deliver that type of football again.
Thought provoking thread Doug.
I really enjoy the connection with Spurs fans in every part of the world.
I'm no expert on tactics. My lizard brain loves progressive beautiful football. That's why I get up at midnight to watch Spurs play.
100% agree.
Always a great listen regardless of the result.
Agree with your comments. I would hope that TF gets at least the full season to show that he can actually deliver progressive football.
I genuinely think the players are capable - but the tactics are falling well short β½οΈ
Is this a quote from Ange? Sounds like it.
Can't say that I'm happy, entertained or revelling in it. However, I like TF and hope to see him succeed.
