"Why cant parents do it" - the parents are fucked too. None of us grew up the way social media is now, and yet many many adults are fully addicted to and broken by it after only a few years.

Imagine if they had spent their entire life that way, it will be so much worse. Brain rot with no stem.

Everyone is always like "adults need to do something" with no real meaningful suggestions of what actually gets done here. Which is why we end up with the absolute worst version of a required thing.

As a dad to a toddler and older brother to current teens, it's a very weird struggle recognising that the sweeping social media ban for young people is obviously bad while also knowing that SOMETHING needs to be done because they're getting so fucked up man.

Honestly, grocery shopping is a big one. But the tidying of the house really is the biggest difference. There were two of us and that still got on top of us ( and still does).

Snake Story A gloved hand opens a long box by your bedroom door. A snake slithers from it into your room. It climbs into your bed, vanishing under the covers. Somewhere in your bedding the snake does a poo. The gloved assailant retrieves the snake & leaves. You're going to be so mad in the morning.
