This wee note is in home books but just popping it here as a reminder. 🙂

We are learning about how to use our Growth Mindset and the power of YET! We listened to and talked about the story of Gerald in “Giraffes can’t dance” and then created our own giraffes to help us think about what we can’t do YET but will be able to one day! 🦒

A lovely walk around the playground and in the town to spot different signs of autumn. We collected some spiky and shiny conkers and some colourful leaves. 🌰 🍁 🍂

We all enjoy our music rotation afternoons. We have been exploring lots of different instruments and how they are played. 🎶🎵🎹🥁🎸🪈 @haven-stp.bsky.social @stpatricksep.bsky.social

Mr Potato Head helps us to remember the ways we show respect to ourselves and each other in the classroom everyday. 🥔

We worked together to measure ingredients and follow a recipe to make some delicious fairy cakes! 🧁 It was really hard not to eat them before we decorated them and took them home! 🤭

The girls and boys in our class work so hard and love to practise their skills and learning in different ways!

We like to do some yoga in our afternoon calm time to stretch all our muscles and help us to feel relaxed. 🧘🏼🧘🏻‍♀️🧘🏻

In PE, we created our own obstacle course and practised lots of skills such as jumping and balancing.

We all enjoyed our first Friday morning breakfast in the Honeypot! A lovely chance to talk together before the weekend! #socialskills #porridgeandpancakes #fridaybreakfast #togethertime

After all our busy playing and learning…it’s important that we take some quiet time to regulate ourselves. Meditation time is one of our favourite times of the day! 🧘🏻‍♀️ 🧘🏻‍♂️ #lookingafterourselves #relaxandreset

We enjoy practising our literacy and numeracy skills in lots of different ways. This week we have been making sure we remembered all of our skills from before the holidays!

Learning with us looks like so much fun that this little hedgehog decided he might like to join in! 🦔 We were very excited to see him and give him a drink on such a hot day! ☀️

What an excellent start to the new school year we have had! 😁 We are all settling in and making new friends during our learning and playing time!

Mrs Turk had so many good things to say that she needed the biggest envelopes!!! Hope you are all as proud of yourselves as I am of you! ⭐️👩🏻‍🏫

We had an amazing day at our EP fun day today! So many different activities to try out! 🧗🎨🖼️🥞🍍We will all sleep well tonight! 😴

Musical fun this afternoon in our rotation group! 🎶 🎹 We explored different instruments and played some songs with the boom whackers! 🌈

We had a great time working up a sweat this morning in PE! 🏃🏻‍♀️🏃🏻 We worked together to plan and build an obstacle course. We took turns trying it out and even made some modifications halfway through!! Lots of fun and teamwork!

Look at our lovely dandelion pictures that we created in our garden today! 🌼 We used lots of fine motor skills to pick and thread through our flower stems.
