I had an MRI a few years ago. You bet I knew why.
I'd twisted my back; x-rays showed a slipped disc. The insurance co. insisted on physical therapy. When that didn't "fix" the problem, I had to have the MRI before they'd let me have meds for the pain.
Had to "prove" I wasn't faking, I guess.

Which means what? We get more affordable Argentine beef but our local ranchers are still getting screwed?

I enjoyed her book, "Year of the Tiger". It helps so much when others speak up about their illnesses/disabilities.
She will be missed.

The only reason I started using a cane as early as I did was that I had a baby and was scared to death I'd drop her, I had become so unsteady on my feet.
Making the transition years later to crutches and then a wheelchair was harder because I had no real justification for it.
