Sigh.

Petition: Do not introduce Digital ID cards We demand that the UK Government immediately commits to not introducing a digital ID cards. There are reports that this is being looked at.

petition.parliament.uk/petitions/73... Over 1.6 million votes against enforced digital ID so far. You may wish to sign, or share, or both. I'm all for sensible consensual checks on basic identity of the sort we already have. Not this.

1. Migrants ALREADY HAVE biometric ID cards & govts have been trying to digitise them for years w repeated fuckups & failures causing complete chaos - they don’t work, you do not want that system for you.

I found that giving myself something to look forward to every day was so important, too. No matter how small. A magazine, a book, a favourite programme on TV, whatever works. And stay away from Google. 99% of the general info on there is absolute rubbish & way, way out of date.

You know a speech on autism by an Orange Leader hasn't gone well when seemingly every charity & organisation agrees that it was a disaster. Even the 'usual suspects' are saying they are horrified their 'profound autism' child was portrayed in those ways & offered rubbish instead of new science.

If it's the ability to make a particular President rethink his attitude and do something more useful with his time, do let us know?

There's some claim that a folic acid supplement can 'treat' autism in children. But the science doesn't stack up. At all. Just like everything else they are alleging.

This isn't 1950 any more. We know that most autistic people are lovely, kind, thoughtful, dedicated, diligent individuals who bring so much to our lives. Portraying 100% of us - or ANY of us, as a disaster to be avoided at any cost, is so utterly irresponsible.

I am absolutely aghast.

Telling the world that autism is so terrible that we must do anything, anything at all, no matter how life-threatening, to avoid having people like me and my lovely family, friends and colleagues in it? What on this earth? /

What happens when they get ill? What happens when some die from that? What happens when they spread that disease to others in the meantime? What of the impact on the child from endless repeat injections and the potential trauma from that?/

There have been decades of careful studies showing no link to autism. What happens to children left with no vaccine for a childhood illness, as they wait to go in for e.g. their 10th individual shot, months and months...maybe years...later than they would have otherwise been protected?/

No damage to the autistic people round the family? No damage to how we're perceived in society, by employers, by healthcare teams? Really?

Asking parents not to properly vaccinate their children in line with already proven-safe guidelines is without harm, eh? /

That is potentially damaging for both parent and baby. Scaremongering such parents into potentially never taking a needed medication - already proved safe in pregnancy time & time again - filling their heads with words about autism like, "crisis...horrible...families destroyed..."? No damage, eh?/

The stress of that on the parent, their other caring responsibilities for other children etc, and on the unborn baby, is enormous. This in itself creates a health risk for a child.

Do without a powerful anti-fever medication (which Tylenol/paracetamol is...)? /
