I need to properly sort my thoughts out as it’s been a long two weeks, but I think framing these talks as a failure overlooks the fact that high ambition states refused to accept a waste management treaty

🔹an individual component allowing individuals to thrive in a climate free from dangerous anthropogenic interference (side note: this echoes the language of the UN climate convention)

25/ Based on jus cogens, States have to cooperate to end any conduct that violate prohibition derived from international standards related to a healthy environment.
The Court also recognizes a right to a safe climate, with autonomous obligations derived from this right.
