Talib Visram interviewed me for his podcast America's Cup, and we talked about how some national flags can mean more than just a national flag.

Not too long ago, I was asked to write a review of a classic book that has been particularly influential for me: 'The Media and Modernity: A Social Theory of the Media', by John B. Thompson.

"No te preocupes. A ti te va a ir bien".

Still, I am very proud that we expressed perhaps clearer than before our thoughts, such as how fragile many campaigns have been, how versions of national identity produced rely on -and perpetuate- global and local inequalities, and how ordinary people (i.e. the nation) are often overlooked.

We started in 2020, thinking it would be a relatively easy task: a summary of the history of nation branding across the American continent(s). And yet, things got more complicated, partly due to a pandemic and the changing world.
