Anybody else go on book buying binges? I have so many books to read and have read so many. I have stacks everywhere from pocket books like Snyder’s “On Tyranny” & a Poe collection for travel, to 40lb coffee table art books. I want to shop for some books on fashion houses next, and more on jewellery.

The history of French Crown Jewels goes back to Francis I. He was the monarch that established a “Crown Jewel Collection”. His son, Francis II had no problem sharing those jewels not just with his wife, Catherine de Medici- but his mistress- cousin to his wife- Diane Di Poitiers.

It’s a testament to our patience that we haven’t gone off already.

Altering the format of MTV2 right when it was made available on almost all satellite providers was also a nightmare. Just when I thought I’d get blocks of 120 Mins style content- it was back to “shows” of programming. 💤 😴

IF MTV had kept to its mission, to show actual MUSIC VIDEOS, then perhaps I wouldn’t have quit watching 30 years ago. Yes, they had a ratings boon w/their “reality” shows, maybe 4-5 that really took off, (Real World, Jersey Shore, Skins), but they killed their own baby w/oversaturation. #Madea
