Not been on @bsky.app so much tho.
Why ? The timeline needs addressing (for me). I want to scroll through the day and catch up, not go backwards.
Why ? I'm a big F1 fan so I end up seeing the result first and any race details after.

So that's my Twitter account permanently gone. I guess leaving a rude comment to Musk got picked up π

01.04.2025 21:06 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Nice to get out diving again today. My 2 regular buddies both had different reasons to be out of the water for a while so it was ace to get us together again.
The sun coming out at the end of the last dive was just wonderful.
So sorry to hear that.

#Trump has been told to expect loud protests when he visits the UK.
I think anyone there protesting should simply turn their back on him (like he does to other countries).
That will annoy him much more. Imagine a whole crowd facing away π
So think Slack (or Teams if you must) from a timeline perspective. Or a series of WhatsApp messages. If I read things from the most recent post it doesn't make sense.
All it needs is something to remember what I last saw and change the order by (taking a very simplified view)
@jay.bsky.team I would love Bluesky to allow me to see posts in order from where I left off to now. Currently it works from now to whatever point I get bored or remember I've read. For me the timeline needs inversion. I prefer to catch up rather than read backwards in time. Hope that makes sense.
25.02.2025 12:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Cracking couple of dives today. Temp about as low as I think it will go this year.
Comfy and warm in the water, but that wind afterwards was a bit bracing.
Fixed my zips on my wetsuit gloves so the only answer from here is to go diving on Sunday. Can't wait.
21.02.2025 12:19 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0We laid another plaque at Capernwray for him too (near Thunderbird).
His rugby club also laid a plaque for him.
He impacted so many people. A true legend and a damned good friend.
2 years on he's still very much missed.
Forever 27.
Two years ago we laid a plaque on the Dunraven wreck dedicated our our good friend Zak who died just before the trip aged 27.
It was a peaceful wreck site that nobody died on. We wanted somewhere we could visit that reminded us of Zak the previous year.
We returned last year to find it missing.
Good to also have a little clear head space. Wrapped up 2 decent projects recently.
Currently on the bench at work so spending my time doing some learning and topping up my skills.
Diary is so much less mental now.
I've given up on Twitter/X now.
It seems much nicer over here.
I'm not going to get political but sometimes you see things that are just the final straw.
Brilliant news. Glad to see the back of that nasty woman.
05.02.2025 11:08 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The water is fine. Hands were somewhat frozen between dives though. Had to hide in the cafe.
22.01.2025 16:22 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Liam had a new toy to try out. The footage is superb. Vis was brilliant.
I'm on the twin set, Nayi has the blue fins, Ade with the black fins and Liam filming.

Managed to get the first dives of the year done on Sunday. Not had a chance to post yet.
A bit chilly. 6c in the water. Very cold in the car park.
Long drive home avoiding the motorway as the M6 was shut.
Many moons back (probably 10 years ago).
Passed a few snow ploughs on the way to the dive centre. Surfaced to more snow.
It thinned out a bit so we went again π
Had a fault come up on my car with the MAF sensor.
Opens bonnet.
Oh yeah....
Best plug that back in π
Visibility yesterday is why I tend to dive more in winter than summer.
Absolutely superb. Loved it.
Last 2 dives of the year coming up tomorrow.
Sounds more interesting than it is, I'll be back on it in Jan soon enough π
I'm not going next year and think I'll pass until things improve.
Had over a dozen trips to Egypt over the years. All but one with diving. 3 liveaboards over last 3 years.
I'm good for a bit.
Shame. It's one of my favourite places.
It may seem strange that they did another trip but the number of sinkings wasn't immediately apparent. Christian kept a grab bag with epirb and waterproof sat phone with him at all times. Michelle (his wife) was very nervous throughout. I sat with her on deck on the crossing back.
08.12.2024 07:34 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0My friends Christian and Michelle were on the Carlton Queen last year. They lost everything. Passports, money, kit, clothing. Insurance never paid out. Pretty much abandoned when back on shore. So lucky to have them still with us. I've done 3 Red Sea trips with them. One of which was this year.
08.12.2024 07:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's now 10 Red Sea dive boats sunk in the last couple of years. Standards REALLY need to improve in Egypt.

I've been under it before now. Only once but a cracking (and weird) dive.
Came up once in a snow storm before now too.
