If you look at the vote totals versus the total numbers of eligible voters, both of them lost to Did Not Vote. Because their choices were Orange Fascist Asshole and "Umm..Not Him, I Guess."

Go look at the vote totals. Trump gained nothing. The Democrats lost millions of votes because they had no policies or messages to back it up. If you don't realize that and you're happy with their failure, you might as well vote for Trump.

Trump won because non-MAGA voters saw nothing worth voting for. He didn't make any great gains in the vote total. The Democrats lost MILLIONS of voters because they have zero courage to actually take real left positions and advance them.
