When I think of the brutality of the junta & its militias, I think a lot about the horrific murder of Phoe Tay and Thar Htaung. After they were killed, supporters of the revolution shared images (presumably AI generated) to remember them & be used instead of the horrific videos of their death.

Text reads On 12 may, Junta aircraft bombed the school in Oe Htein Twin village, Sagaing Region, killing two teachers and twenty two students and injuring over 100.
This was the deadliest aerial attack on a school since 1 Feb 2021.
However this was NOT the first Junta airstrike on a school.

The number of civilian fatalities by air and drone strikes has grown year on year since 2021. In 2025 as of the 1st May aerial attacks account for nearly 60% of civilian fatalities.
