I'm basically living that Mitch Hedberg joke, except instead of trying to convince myself that what I thought of isn't funny I'm just generally trying to convince myself that what I outlined isn't good because I have to re-do it, anyway.

Today I discovered that I have to re-outline 10 stories in The Believer collection because I left the notebook with all the details for them (creature design, general plot, overall vibes, actual stories) in Maine.

I'm in VA for the next several months.

I made a map of all the states in the US where I have sent On Fluent Haunches, it was more than I thought!

I have already dreamed up the cooking show and my grandma and great aunt have confirmed if it existed they would watch it. (They are my cooking competition experts.)

Because I am unable to go more than a few weeks without imagining another WIP I am currently working on a cooking competition/celebrity chef romance. It is a rivals to lovers/enemies to lovers type of a thing.

I'll stay out of review spaces, I know those are for readers, but part of me is pleased that I have been putting the book out there enough that it got in front of the wrong person.

What is also exciting is I already have my first 1 star rating. (There is no review - I assume someone's mad about the taboo queer romance? Idk, it's not my business.)

Someone told me that On Fluent Haunches wasn't on Storygraph so I went to check Goodreads and Fable to make sure it was there. It was! Very exciting.

Today is On Fluent Haunches release day! It does not feel real.
