The Origin - Modern prequel, like an historical epic about the start of the war/creation of mobile suits

08th MS Team - Vietnam-war esque gundam in the jungles of earth

War in the Pocket - a kind of meta look at gundam fandom and how they overlook the anti-war messaging

Speaking as someone who loves Gundam and the main UC timeline... it can be very hit and miss.

The OG 0079 has some good compilation movies and holds up surprisingly well. It does have some strong woman characters, but you are correct in assuming they are not the focus and are often sidelined.

Played through Sayonara Wild Hearts again this weekend. Still slaps.

After DM-ing 30 sessions and 2 real-world years of leaving hints and breadcrumbs, I finally pulled off the "Eclipse-like" event that I had been planning from the start.

(It wasn't nearly as traumatic, and the players seemed to have a good time, despite it being catastrophic to the game world)

They didn't even let me port it to consoles so...

Would be a fun game to translate to the table though!

Hey, I get it. I think leaning toward snappier gameplay was probably the correct choice. Balancing a tactics game for all audiences is a pretty unsolvable problem anyway.

Yeah, for the whole campaign. Maybe a bit too easy!

We did go full paragon, which is not canonical to my playthrough of the series lol.

Just finished 1st playthrough of the Mass Effect board game with some friends at work btw. We had a great time! Thought you did a really good job of capturing the essence of each character and the general vibe of the video games.

We ended up getting a perfect rating so our tactical rep is safe lol.

I agree that I'd like to see more, but with how risk-averse and inclined towards largest possible audience most pubs are, I imagine it's a hard pitch to get through.

I also can't imagine a lot of them would love the "only one player has to pay" model either.
