That’s like saying tails or badniks were never a thing. Sonic isn’t some japan exclusive franchise, sega of America has just as much influence on sonic as sega of japan. This narrative that mobius or “mobians” were “never a thing” is revisionist and just flat out wrong.

I also raise you that this bit of dialogue means the speed force is made up of sonic's excess energy from multiple universes. So the flash family is faster by sonic, but only because Sonic's speed is stacked ontop of their own.

but that's not what they were doing that episode. Tangle brought it up like its unrelated to the case, they never once discuss or suggest the possibility that the thief is him, and the chaotix never even take it as a lead. It seems to me more like they implied he was dead without saying it.

I dunno, it also kinda reads as her knowing he’s gone but the trauma still being there, since no one at any point suggests that the theif is mimic

Shadow as Batman works really well, and while Knuckles isn't immediately as obvious as Aquaman would be, there's actually much more in common between the last son of krypton and the last of the echidnas than with any other pairing.
Really the main issue is they had to go for the main cast for both.

It got better when Ian took over but he also didn’t just magically flip a switch and make everyone act like their game counterpart, he addressed sonics shortcomings head on to set his and tails’ friendship on the mend. It never got as close as they are in games/idw, but it was better.

It’s prima because due to building off of incomplete satAM notes, tails being sonics best friend wasn’t really a known factor to the writers for years. So tails was instead characterized as the plucky kid sonic sometimes humors (amy got this treatment to)

Fleetway would be furthest on the evil side, only robotnik to kill a main character (temporarily at least), had multiple schemes to just destroy everything and is treated less like a person and more like an eldritch creature.
Underground would be somewhere around movie, though he's very hands-off.

Also if you don’t think the old jet voice sounds like Sonic doing a scratch impersonation, then I do not believe you ever heard it.

The new voice is genuinely better in every way imaginable, the old voice was a forceful stretch of Jason Griffiths vocal range that sounded more like sonic impersonating whatever he really sounded like. expecting them to replace hundreds of lines to appease your personal nostalgia is ridiculous.

If you mean it wasn't worth it outside of the films, like how the move bankrupt the animation studio and a large amount of people thinking either it was a marketing stunt or thinking other projects "need to be bullied" out of their odd design choices. Then I can agree on that front.

Because of the redesign, they also brought on Tyson Hesse as an advisor and were able to rework some scenes into being more true to the games than they were originally, as well as getting fans to embrace the "cute but cool" aesthetic that sonic is all about. So hard disagree in terms of the movies.

The design was still ugly-cute regardless, like it could have worked, but not nearly as well as the redesign did.

a map would get retconned whenever they need to add a new location next game. But whats so unbelievable about those locations being on the same planet?
