Just knowing I have the tools to reshape any(every)thing I write allows me to just fucking play and feel and push my spirit into spaces my deprecatory self claims I don’t fit. I get to prove myself wrong in the. Most. Wonderful. Ways. And I become better for it. 🥰

It’s allowed to barely even be a poem, let alone coherent. Then, in my own time and space, I filter the silt and keep the clay that’s formed into a final piece.

As a former child who was into Tetris, I can’t express how good it feels when I use an uncommon word in a poem and it fits *perfectly*

It’s like a brain massage. I will chase that high to the ends of the earth
