If most of your beta readers have the same note, it might be worth seriously considering. If 5 different people say 5 different things, though, there may not be much substance to 5 various subjectivities, so heed your own muse's gut and feel fine with ignoring.

The trans woman, Jamie Clayton, is fkn MAGICAL in the show and her character extremely key thematically, and I am so with you in that shit date curse.
