I've been replaying Gungrave GORE this week, and I have to say I find it a little baffling it's not held in higher regard, at least by action fans. This is basically all I want video games to be.

It took me like an hour to get this joke. I just kept rereading the headline, trying to understand what happened to Weird Al. This is gonna happen all the time now, isn't it

What do you think is a realistic play time to seeing the end? Or is it not the kind of game that ends? I just remember feeling kind of hollow after a week of fruitless runs, but the game has so much cool stuff going on.

Oh man, forgot about that. But that was at least a flagship 1st-party title being polished to pimp said 1st party's new hardware specs, so it kind of made sense. GGG is a weirdo anime action game that even many hardcore action and Gungrave fans didn't seem to like. I guess they saw unmet potential 🤷‍♂️

I'm reading that it's a ground-up remake of the 2022 game. I'm glad they're not just shelving the IP, but that's a weird move. Especially since it has also had an incremental "ultimate" version between 2022 and now.

Gungrave GORE was my favorite game of 2022, and even I think it's very weird they just announced a remake. This joins Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster and Ninja Gaiden 2 Black in the category of remakes that weren't particularly warranted but will run worse on your PC.
