A last few shots from my visit to Tattooine, aka Tunisia, where one can spot Darth Vader and friends built entirely out of old propane tanks and scrap metal, and get an outstanding bowl of couscous! Thanks to the people of that gorgeous country and may the force be with all you gorgeous fellow fans!

Imagine being this much of a nerd — I originally visited Tunisia to nerd out on a *completely separate* thing, the ruins of Ancient Carthage. I'd actually read that the Star Wars set had long since been dismantled, so discovering it there was a cherry on my nerd sundaeXD

To celebrate May the 4th I thought I'd share these pics from my visit to Tataouine, Tunisia and the Skywalker homestead:D (For a heat intolerant Canadian on the brink of hospitalization, the exhausted baby camel in the parking lot by the vending machines was a moodXD)

Wanted a new face for one of my costume design models!! Blocking out the areas, laying down washes of tone, then blending it all together is a process that brings me tremendous relaxation:P Every time I finish a big illustration commission I find it really helps me unwind <3

My portrait of Spirited Away's mysterious dragon boy, Haku! Combining silver leaf with oil paint in layers of translucent wash, the complexity of this painting had my brain flipping around inside my skullXD Never my most popular art print but for all the struggle I'm so pleased how he came out <3

My great granny had no giant spoons, just hundreds of tiny little ones in a specialty wall mounted tiny spoon display. One day I shall inherit them and they shall be mine.

I was never cool enough to play Final Fantasy as a kid so, at the ripe old age of 34, I watched FF7 Remake and Crisis Core. And they ✨ruined✨ meXD So I painted this little fanart as somewhere to put all my tragic fangirl fervor until the next instalment came out!
