(If something happens to her and the intercom gets triggered and she does not reply, they will call her phone. If she does not reply there, they will call me. If I am unable to tell whether or not she's okay - bc I'm not home, for example - they'll send a rescue team.)

So I had to explain that to the poor dispatcher over the intercom who was frantically trying to reach her and she was unable to reply.

Because she was in the garage. Having a smoke. Where she cannot hear the intercom.

My mum says she wants to quit smoking. Says she won't bring any cigarettes back into the house.

She just triggered her tele alarm by accident while she was rummaging around in secret for a cig.

In the garage.

Because, as she said: "That's not in the house."

True! And sometimes we need a breather. We're of use to no one if we break down.

I am trying to stay conscious of whatever atrocitoes are happening in the world but it's hard not to be swept up by the happiness and enthusiasm of the festivities. And I think I needed that little breather from all the horrors before powering on.

I'm not exactly a royalist, but our Royals are suuuuper chill and approachable, and the whole country is in Party Mode(TM) since the old Grand Duke abdicated today and his eldest son became new Grand Duke earlier today.

Friends, a bit of a weird question, but do you have some strange habits when you face something important?

Example: I always wear a pair of strawberry socks to job interviews, in a way that no one will see them, but they are there. They were a gift from my partner.

Exceedingly nervous and scared about things that will come to pass soon but that I cannot talk about yet.

Today I'm yearning for the days on which I was able to ask other adults to do stuff like that for me. I love my independence, but sometimes it's just hard.

Oh we did. We went through every possible scenario - until this is all settled there simply is no time, sadly.

I don't believe it will be *that* bad this time around bc the circumstances are different, and while she's had moments to cry, she didn't really have time to sit down and experience her grief. I'm so worried a big crash is on the horizon.

That being said - I know whe's strong, generally speaking, but I also know that situations like those leave her in a very fragile state. I've seen her mental and physical health decline freakishly rapidly after her grandfather passed, and I am beyond worried for her.
