I worked with an American counterpart who got sick with cancer. Hi wife had to quit her job to take care of him, and they had to re-mortgage their home to pay for treatments - at the age of 55. It's so fucked up.

It's extraordinarily frustrating for the entire world to watch so many Americans suffer needlessly. The US is one of the only G20 countries that don't provide Universal Health Care. I suspect it has a lot to do with corporate greed and a lot of bullshit misinformation spewed by Republicans. Sad.
