Dad, Evertonian, Web stuff. Politics at a push.
Thought they were antsβ¦
21.02.2026 16:02 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I donβt think the arrest moved the needle.
It was a predictable culmination of recent events, despite sensational responses in the media.
The damage was done before today. It doesnβt make a bad situation worse.
You could argue the Kingβs distancing statement helps perception of the royal family.
I think you deserve a pair.
18.02.2026 20:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well, yes - Iβd certainly concede it would be less convenient to pay with a watch you donβt have.
18.02.2026 20:29 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Yes, thatβs true. Iβm just trying to understand, I guess.
Iβm not trying to impress anyone by buying things with my watch - maybe some do have that motivation, but I canβt imagine a weaker flex.
Iβm not really sure what Ian objects toβ¦ a couple-of-hundred Apple Watch is hardly a show-off status symbol.
Unlike the obscene luxury watch a certain type of individual likes to make sure is constantly poking out of their shirt sleeve.
Double-tap the side button and hold your wrist above the reader.
No wallet rummaging, no pocket rummaging for your phoneβ¦ you donβt even need to hitch your sleeve up unless youβve got a coat on.
Why would you consciously make a less convenient choice?
And it swayed the mind of not one European state.
We know the United States is no longer a reliable partner - and we will continue to reduce reliance, cooperation and trade.
It matters not what the secretary of state says about anything. Trump has demonstrated the need for Europe to decouple.
Just watched some clips on the HBO YouTube channel, which look correct. Sky botched the UHD HDR version this week, for whatever reason.
16.02.2026 22:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Itβs not the brightness. That was fine. It was the colour. Itβs an HDR problem.
16.02.2026 22:23 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs brilliant - I wish I wasnβt being distracted by the botched colour job in this episode!
16.02.2026 22:10 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0This weekβs episode of a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms has gone badly wrong on Now TV - at least the 4K HDR version. Colours are insanely over-saturated.
16.02.2026 22:00 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0The UK is part of the CPTPP, so this includes us.
16.02.2026 20:39 β π 8 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Absolutely astonishing stuff. Presumably the Murdoch press didnβt get the memo that controlling the narrative their readers are exposed to isnβt as easy as it used to be.
07.02.2026 10:46 β π 5 π 1 π¬ 1 π 0Couldnβt happen to a nicer league.
Or a nicer narcissist.
I couldnβt give a shit about what he thinks about England fans. Heβs proven himself to be a dreadful man who thinks dreadful things.
I could, however, pass a massive shit that he and FIFA are still nominal custodians of the game.
FIFA needs tearing down, and his head placed on a metaphorical pike.
It makes perfect sense. Any European country being attacked is a continent-wide issue and the response ought to be of that magnitude.
It also makes economic sense. If huge military spending is happening in Europe, the government ought to ensure British defence firms are involved in that.
I believe water is the standard way to fill them.
25.01.2026 21:43 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It strikes me that too many are battening down the hatches and counting down to the 2028 presidential election.
Even if the election is carried out fairly and a Democrat takes the White House, itβs not the end of it anymore than Bidenβs win was.
This is a generational fight that needs to be fought
βBarclays-eraβ is a curious way to define a period in Premier League historyβ¦ canβt imagine a fan saying βdid you prefer the Carling, Barclaycard or Barclays era?β
24.01.2026 15:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Donβt suppose you have much choice, but it makes me queasy to see this being treated like a normal World Cup that we should be excited for.
24.01.2026 12:34 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I thought all the drama fell out early in this final.
I think the flaw in the structure of the show is that the faithfuls most likely to join the dots and press their case get bumped off.
You end up with the faithfuls least likely to spring the trap in the endgame.
Heβs an embarrassment to the species.
The arc of human civilisation should not have brought us to the point where this man is elected by one of the worldβs great democracies. Twice.
One man has shattered trust in the United States for generations.
No country will be able to plan any sort of cooperation with subsequent American administrations, however reasonable, for fear that the next Trump is just around the corner.
βThrilledβ is not the correct adjective.
20.01.2026 11:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβll look forward to him downplaying it and disappointing his nation once again.
18.01.2026 22:56 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Wasnβt sure the World Cup could lose more credibility after Russia and Qatar. Step forward Trumpβs America.
16.01.2026 21:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Evertonians reasonably object to your choice of picture for this because weβre not ahead enough in games to require time wasting.
16.01.2026 07:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I was imagining it in the voice of Jefferson as portrayed by Daveed Diggs in Hamilton.
15.01.2026 17:19 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Pinnacle of the madness for me was when she suggested there might be 5 traitors at large! Thought she might turn the group in her favour up until that proclamation.
