Today my final piece of TLOAS merch arrived today so I updated the display of (some) of my pretties… I swear I have interests other than Taylor Swift (I swear!!!).

Yeah I used to follow her but her ideas/theories started to be way too close to gaylor theories but she’d always claim she’d not heard anyone talk about it before and it just felt icky.

and there were so many fans online who didn’t get the mashups, or thought they were bad, but gaylors didnt. we loved them and kicked our feet with glee about how gay they were, talked about the message she was trying to get across with them. and she talked a lot about how hard she worked on them.

there are so many people (critics, certain fans, etc) that are being very obtuse about the queer flagging she’s been doing, and i can imagine that would feel like being gaslit into insanity.

but then you have a group of fans who ARE seeing it, talking about it, and surely that would be a relief.

I was thinking about this morning - in the bts she talks about the fate of ophelia being that she was gaslit into insanity.

what if what saved her from that fate was the fans who actually are paying attention to her lyrics / what she was doing with the surprise song mashups?

I’ve been thinking about how two of her perfumes (Wonderstruck and Wonderstruck: Enchanted) both have prominent vanilla notes. 👀

I don’t think she will perform - if nothing else, the artists don’t get paid for the halftime show, it’s a publicity thing for them, and she doesn’t need the exposure. And she’s not going to perform for free for them.
