Post the league Rules and Regulations with obvious errors?
12.02.2026 17:32 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Margins on stadium food and bev are way more than 25%.
They sell a $2.50 can of beer for $13 for crissakes.
In 2023, Axel revealed that they were $15 USD below the MLS average.
While I really appreciate it, I admit that my season tickets are incredibly cheap.
Well, based on the Province's latest offer "maintenance and game day stuff" only amounts to ~$1.5MM.
04.02.2026 00:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0No, their costs have ballooned (e.g. purchase fees, salaries, travel), while their revenues have stagnated.
In this age of massive inflation the one line item in my personal budget that has remained largely unchanged is the cost of my VWFC season tickets.
It was actually "Bell Pitch".
Reading that section again, it might have been put in to legitimize that use from before the agreement. PavCo wasn't pleased about it.
That said, much of the 2016 amendment is about Stadium naming rights. I can see why VWFC is annoyed that PavCo never followed through.
Yes, but apart from one instance of "Telus Pitch", I don't recall them ever exercising that right.
There are other sections that deal with Stadium Naming rights, where PavCo acknowledges that securing a name sponsor is in the best interest of all parties.

03.02.2026 22:32 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I swear that wasn't there in the first version posted.
Or I just can't read.
Naming rights for the stadium and pitch were in the 2016 amendment.
03.02.2026 22:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I read this as being the offer that Axel said wasn't good enough.
$1.5MM doesn't really move the needle. And previous agreements already had provisions for naming rights.
The lions provide about ~25% of the target
There aren't enough concerts and Harry Potter wizard festivals to make up the difference if they both leave.
PavCo's annual performance measures include a ~1M attendance target for BC place. VWFC supplies ~50-60% of that. Where do they plan on making up the shortfall if/when the 'Caps leave.
01.02.2026 19:10 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Ah! It was this:
Galaxy needed a GAM "loan" to meet the 2025 roster compliance requirements.
It seems that you're right.
What trade am I thinking of then?
Everything else you keep... until it expires.
I believe GAM is available for 2 years (4 transfer windows?) from the time it was doled out. Which is why trades specify which year's GAM was involved.
I recall a trade last year that swapped expiring GAM for a lesser amount of future GAM.
The "You suck!" GAM should be at least $250K (CBA 10.22)
CCC GAM should be at least $200K (CBA 10.24(ii))
You should watch Inside Video Review: MLS #7. Tim ford is the VAR.

I'm not PR/Comms person, but to me announcing 2 huge signings on the same day would be weird.
Then again, MLS has done other PR things that are weird to me. Like let teams announce signings on All Star Game day.
2 major MLS announcements on the same day?
06.08.2025 03:25 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Shit.
Today is the 28th anniversary of the Messier signing.
Damn, I screwed that up.
Muller take's Mobilio's 10 and the captaincy, then does the rest...
2nd, actually.
If they really did declare their intent to stick with the U22 model after after signing Kenji that was either incredibly shortsighted (in that they didn't have to declare until the end of the window), or they have (had?) 2 more U22s lined up.
My guess is that he gets Priso's 13 in exchange for something nice. And Priso goes back to 8/97.
29.07.2025 00:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The true Vancouver sports outcome would be: Muller pulls a Messier and takes Gauld's 25, plays 3 completely ineffective seasons then buggers off to LAFC and wins a MLS cup there.
29.07.2025 00:35 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0If Cincy is the hangup, then I would expect it to get resolved at some point.
The league certainly won't let them hold him hostage since he's rejected them. $400K seems to be the standard now (Reus, Almiron)
MLS rules are so clear. Until they're not.

They also should be getting a sizeable chunk of GAM from the Vite sale
I guess it's possible that they spent the whole $2M and that the remaining GAM is a different tranche that expires next year and beyond. I just figure that they'd want to be as flexible as possible going into this window.
Very confusing.
That means that they have already spent the $1M GAM on something. Which doesn't really make sense, since they haven't brought anyone in that required GAM.
No it doesn't.
They are allowed 4 U22 and 2 DP.
Kenji and Ocampo are their U22s. Gauld and Cubas the DPs.
If they return $1M GAM to MLS, they would be allowed 3DP and 3 U22.
They have ~$1.9M GAM.
