You would have thought I murdered someone. I was critical of Hillary/supporting Bernie, and was called misogynistic. I was critical of Pelosi and Schumer, while praising AOC and was called “not a real democrat”. I hope dems can remove the loyalty blinders and save democracy before we hit bottom.

I used to work in the DOD. A few years before Trump1 I would go to Dem fundraisers, mingling, chatting, etc, and I would sometimes randomly mention that Bill Clinton was a philanderer and was the cause of 9/11 because of the reduction in force in the 9o’s …1/2

They run them bc people react to them the most.

If we stop linking to bad columns and instead post thinkers we find valuable (& generate convo around it), incentives change.

I agree, but also think there are more components to this argument. Media and social media activates the brain's reward center, releasing dopamine when a user receives a like, retweet, or other notification. Unless we figure out a way to pressure the leaders of Meta, it will only be a viscous circle
