Spending the holidays with family is nice and all until they start talking politics. I feel like I need to hide myself, and I dont feel welcome around them. Being trans in a family that hates trans people is hard...

I know exactly what you mean. I've kind of found a dividing line out of my friends. I have the mostly queer people who all asked how I was doing and understood what had happened, and the cis people who went on as if nothing had happened.
