I’ve taken a long break from doing interviews, but some childhood friends from my hometown just launched an independent press and asked me to do an episode of their podcast, so I actually agreed for a change.

I monitor, research, and write about white supremacist and political violence so I don’t exactly get to choose “avoid X.”

And yes it sucks for a variety of reasons, including (for example) — 24/7 harassment, threats, assorted bullshit, and other issues that arise from the work, such as… Bryan.

The feds can investigate you for (hypothetically) interstate terroristic threats without informing you — and public social media posts containing said interstate terroristic threats do not, let’s say, strengthen the odds of throwing those feds off your trail.
