This might be the first year I don’t have Halloween plans and that kinda makes me sad 😪
Also even though it’s months away I don’t know if I’ll do much for my birthday either (usually at least take a little trip, but I’m not sure if that’s something I really want/is in the cards for this year)

I know almost NOTHING of that area. It apparently is relatively nice as far as temperature goes so that’s definitely a plus!

I will not be moving anytime soon though. I have never even visited Australia so that would have to happen first lol

Sometimes screaming is cathartic and sometimes you get your answers years later. What can I say?

Thinking about the time 2 years ago when I went out in the desert and screamed “WHY” at the universe (I was going through A LOT) but life did get better. So if you’re going through hell in life, you might get thrown in the storm but you’ll come out the other side 🤪

But this makes me think of how a large percentage of actually religious (Christian faith) people nowadays would be part of the group fighting to take down Jesus. Super ironic and that’s single-handedly feeding into the obsession tbh

This production is feeding my past addiction to musical theatre (and I’m not mad 😜)

This feels like it just captures the intensity of human emotions and it gives me chills. I’ve heard Gethsemane and Cynthia’s “why” feels so much of a plea and I get chills every time I hear it. She made a choice and it WORKED (I actually prefer her version to the typical high note)

Like these choices show contrast because most people picture Jesus as larger than life because of the Bible, but he was just a man (no matter what you believe- he was in man form) and the emotions that come with being HUMAN. WOW

Another post about JCS because I’m actually watching it (thank you slime tutorial!) and they honestly made so many good choices with this production. The casting is sooo good and they convey the desperation, fear, longing so well. I saw it live years ago but this version is INCREDIBLE

Honestly, as someone who grew up religious, seeing Cynthia Erivo play Jesus in Jesus Christ Superstar is exactly the right move. Making Jesus a black woman in today’s day and age was truly such an amazing casting (and the EMOTION she brought. Holy shit)

Grounding and allowing for magic to be integrated in the mundane. Makes it easier to practice regularly when you don’t feel pressure to do big things all the time! (Although that is also nice sometimes, it’s not practical to do regularly!)

Looking behind the wizard of oz curtain has been my schtick since I can remember lmao

Having a deep awareness my whole life and being able to look behind the curtain is hard when socializing, but I suppose is necessary for the kind of work I do (and the interactions I prefer) ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

As a child I would scoff at people who put their jobs over their family/lives. As an adult I’m impressed at younger me for having the awareness (helps I saw/felt it first hand to solidify the thought)
