The decadal averages are shown with different colored lines with purple for the 1980s, blue for the 1990s, green for the 2000s, and white for the 2010s. Thin white lines are also shown for each year from 2000 to 2024. 2025 is shown with a thick gold line. There is a long-term decreasing trend in ice extent for every day of the year shown on this graph between January and April by looking at the decadal average line positions.
Friday ice update - #Arctic sea ice extent is currently the *lowest* on record (JAXA data)

Video obtained by CNN shows the rear landing gear of the jet buckling and the right wing shearing away in a fireball after the plane landed hard on the runway.
I hope America is as lucky as the delta jet - everyone survives but the right wing explodes

I would love to start again though.
I dropped out of my masters program (as an adult). I had finished research, but struggled to write and focus on the analysis. Much of it was Covid, no presence of people, a retirement, disinterest by the supervisors, and general feeling that work was more important. And others struggled before me.

HelloββI'm interested in poetry & songs written to protest against harm to rivers or to protect them from harm.
Not just paeans to rivers, of which there are many. But words to protest or protect.
Can you recommend anything? Iβd really like to grow a list.
Any century, language, culture, custom.

In a few weeks Iβll be headed north to speak about the little things that donβt always get the attention they deserve. #Fisheries #Arctic #Stickleback #ArcticChar #Nunavut
