What I will say is that after a bit of time and experience your focus will change as you get your footing as a GM. For me, it was a change of "Am I (doing) enough for my players?" to "What can I do to make this really neat for my players?", and man, it's taken my enjoyment as a GM to the moon.

It's tough at first! Something that helped me greatly was constant communication with my players; how did they like the session, are they enjoying their character, is the story to their liking, etc. Sometimes taking the initiative is necessary since players can be shy or lack the confidence too.
