One of my biggest peeves is that social media has ruined aesthetic presentation. Now, everything has to be staged, surrounded with a bunch of useless visual noise. If I'm looking at a person's art, i want to see the art! Not a bunch of props and shitty angles. Getting back into webcomics after so long away, I find the harsh/thoughtful critique of peers has softened from what it was before the scene was centralized and commodified. Gentrification of art is a real bitch for a lot of reasons, but all the dishonest politeness is especially insidious.
