And why NaN === NaN returns false ? Because the very nature of this value makes it that any mathematical operation with NaN returns false, and that includes comparisons. Kinda weird but not that weird when you think about it?

Take the expression "two" * 8. The * operator (unlike +) is specifically used in mathematical operations so the language tries to return a number. But the operation is incorrect as "two" is a string. So the result is a number value that tells you something went wrong

Most of the internet used to be like this. This is actually the default, it took companies enclosing the internet and adding weird, soul-killing incentives to make people behave the way they do now. In a way, there is truly nothing special about Wikipedia except that it survived longer.
