This uptick in speed from LST meaning games are a couple of turns shorter has had an unintended benefit: Clash game sessions feel way better! Since they don't go as long you seem to get paired up way faster as people cycle through their games faster.

LST has been fun. Interestingly many power plays require spending a normal cast on a mediocre body you're stuck with if interrupted (Ampup CoZeus, Foamee CoAphro, Funglow). The problem is if you go first you can go off uninterrupted. I wonder what the going first win rate is now.

Clash <-> Paper theory time:
I think one reason Bears, Lycavoid and Heal-a-lith was everywhere in FST is that they were the decks you could also play in clash, making them the decks people had the most practice with.

I'm predicting a rise in Aphro and Thunderstorm decks in Nov.

If you're on werepup you're behind.

You have to play 4 bricks in your deck to turn it on: two werepup that do nothing after the combo goes off and the Lunar phase and Lycavoid you never want to draw. It seems crazy to say after two formats of were pup one card combo being one of the best things to do, but:

Speaking of the format: What is Lycavoid even going to do? It can't hit over most things as a 6. Even if it removes an apheros or something It's probably getting popped next turn by the afore mentioned cards by your opponent.

With main deck PBOX and Gorgons the Pup almost never gets to do it's search and then you're left with a 3/2. No big deal try again later you say? In this format where your opponent can drop two lochagons, a ladogon, or novacore at a moments notice you don't have that luxury

Alright I think werepup is a trap this format. I went in as a big believer. Lunar Eclipse seems crazy. Pop 1-2 backrow and get a big body? SIGN ME UP! but it just doesn't work out most of the time... 🧵
