I think part of the problem you fought against was bad science. You wouldn't have been able to sit there and do correct science cause AI was being forced into it, from what I understood. You would have died a little every time an incorrect thing got added in your science.

For one simple reason. Only child syndrome. They absolutely abhor that the world could possibly be made for anyone else but them. I'm not even talking about a world where there's no space for them. Just not all the space is for them.

Even the ones that go with "lol if you want that go make a game yourself" often don't understand that people who want to make those games already exist in AAA studios and are just not heard. And when people do eventually make those games these same haters come and complain.

And it's so pervasive. In the gaming industry it's a shitshow at work, a shitshow in reviews, so many threw tantrums about "ethics in journalism" based on a hate smear campaign yet didn't step up for unions. And that's not even going into how it seems the campaign was supported by pedofiles. Cool.

I cannot emphasise enough how this is the same battle for the video games community we have fought for decades. I've had so many (cis white) male gamers deny the bullying...no, you know, that's a weak word...the shitshow we had to endure and still stay gamers. And they minimised the effect of it.

My condolences.

Focus on the steps you need to take, as a kid I didn't get it but as an adult I now understand how important it is to get a chance to lay people to rest together, as a family, or community. To go through the process to carve out a space where you can properly grieve the loss.

I do mark my posts in Macedonian with the language tag so it can be picked up by the automatic feed sb made to keep the community connected so I shot myself in the foot. But I spent a year back home disconnected so it was really time I started getting back into it, accept I'm here while I'm here.

I spent years trying to get away from my country. I got a Master's in Concept Art for Games and Animation in the UK. I have worked on games for a Dutch studio, and books for USA clients. I lived in Japan for 6 years. And this model just plopped me in Macedonian Community and I just expired. 🥲

Whimsicott, a supremely fluffy ram horned pokemon happily being engulfed by its cotton-like fur. The art has swirls and thick black lines. Artist's socials on the black frame: RumenaN for bluesky and rumena.n for instagram.
