Elon Musk’s staffers have gained unauthorized access to sensitive government employee data by installing a server at the OPM. They now have access to USAJOBS, the federal hiring portal where applicants submit personal details such as Social Security numbers, home addresses, and employment histories.

Yeah this whole thing reeks of a manipulative parental tactic to make themselves look good for "saving" that thing you love. Ugh.

When people are sad about losing a platform they used for self expression and the answer to that kind of censorship is

"It wasn't a good platform anyway"

You may not have used or liked the platform, others relied on it though.
