Ria said yes to Astarion's offer in part to relieve stress. She's also fond of it as a way of being close to her partner, and she's not big on casual sex in general

A thing Ria and I have in common is that if people do not reach back, she will take that as a sign that either the person does not want to be friends, or that they're not a good match. It has to be a two-way street.

Meanwhile, while I'm far more interested in befriending people in general than Ria

Ria is a fan of small talk as Social Noises. She reaches out to people in her space because that's what you *do* to have a community (see: Zevlor, tieflings). Sharing her time and space is a sign she wants to be friends

Different parts of the spawn community get decorated to different extents, and the lights have to stay away from the outer walls

Ria scatters soft lights through her living space. She hasn't been settled in one area where she could celebrate since her university days, so she takes a few goes to figure out what she likes— well, what she and her community like

In the moment, Ria did not have space to realize what a sad picture he made standing around waiting for Astarion to wander in to get him. She saw the danger he presented and a horrible mirror of what Astarion could become.

Ria went through the Selûnite temple— first thing she found, but also the most controlled entry point. She was not a fan of going back, and having sturdy walls in the way helped with the first few minutes

Meanwhile, I *thought* Echo was going to be a woman, the character simply would not coalesce, and then I tried agender and they went Click.

Iris wound up Silly Little Guy after a few rotations, which was not up to me, but I love it.

She popped into my head as a woman and stayed one after several rotations

Ria's a woman, but in the context of a Seldarine drow living on the surface. She is aware that the way people see her does not entirely match up with her internal experience.

oh i read it and LOVED it. she's not as bitey as I mean for this, but that romance was anything but toothless, so I was still delighted.

He was definitely out of it, but being offered a bite during helped him stay more present, and Ria knows what she's doing.

It was the night after Ria dealt with Flind and Abdirak— a whole mess of mutual manipulation and budding fondness. For her, at least, it was *very* good. And it was better than Astarion expected.
