i always forget this app exists yikes!!!! so much has happened since i last posted

we’ve been playing music for my gramma while she’s on hospice so i decided to make a playlist with my family for her and it’s been so nice to talk about all of the songs we remember her singing to us and just remembering ❤️

no but should i be? i’ve heard good things from hs friends lol

my gramma helped raise me and now she’s very close to not being here anymore and i am not coping well!

my gramma came home today for hospice and guess what? this sucks!

around 34% of people over the age of 85 currently have alzheimer’s and that number is only going to go up as our population ages. but the government has decided that funding research to end it is no longer a priority. unimaginable cruelty all in the name of the bottom line

watching my gramma suffer and decline every day while the federal government slashes funds for alzheimer’s research…….having lots of thoughts

spent all day dealing with my gramma’s transition from the hospital to the physical therapy place (it went well, she is fine and safe) then just got home and our street is completely flooded. apparently the heaviest rain hasn’t even hit yet. cool

ok my gramma is heading into surgery!!!! if anyone prays or meditates or has the ability to send good vibes or light a candle for her that would be very much appreciated 💌🕯️

update: he emailed me back one of the kindest emails i’ve ever recieved and now we’re planning a trip for me to come stay with him ❤️ i’m so glad this is going well, it’s such a weird situation for him and i never want to impose!

i sent him my number so we can call/text and that’s a big step for me. i’m not in therapy rn so everyone tell me good job please lmao

i love my dad’s partner & i want to be there while he grieves my dad but i can’t fly to NYC rn when my gramma is hurt & there’s just a lot of things in play!!! i really hope he’s receptive to what i said. we don’t really know each other (he only knew me as a kid) but we both loved my dad

i emailed my dad’s partner about my dad and i’m feeling weird about it!!!!!!! i kind of love that bluesky feels like early social media where no one rlly knows anything about me and it’s kinda my finsta?? anyone else???

any movie recs for when u just need to check out for a bit and hang out in another happier world? i am going thru it and i just need a lil chuckle and smile real bad plz

i would prefer that the healthcare professionals that are interacting with my 90 year old grandmother wear a mask (and correctly! not under their noses wtf) and i feel like that’s not a weird thing to say! but the nurses sure acted like it was when i asked them 😬

not to be dramatic but this is the busiest ER i’ve ever seen and i am one of three (3!) people - including healthcare professionals - wearing a mask???

it would be so cool and fun to be at the hospital for a happy reason for once!! can all my friends start having babies please

i used to get a hazelnut iced coffee like multiple times a day from the sbux @ the MU in college so i know it used to be available!!! but she looked at me like i was crazy 😔

i haven’t been to sbux in like over a year but the hospital my gramma is at rn only has a lil sbux (their cafeteria is closed) so i tried to order a hazelnut latte and according to them starbucks doesn’t carry hazelnut anymore???? that cannot be true…..
