Сергей Романов - анархист группы "Черное знамя", задержанный в октябре 2020 года. На него постоянно оказывается давление, уже трижды Сергея осудили "за злостное неповиновение", и теперь общий срок его заключения составляет 24,5 года.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who stood by us this year: those who supported our work with donations, wrote letters to prisoners, shared information, refused to give up, and chose not to remain silent.

At the same time, there were moments of joy — six anarchists were released this year!

We took part in various events, spoke about our steadfast comrades, met new people, and felt support coming from different corners of the world.

The outgoing year has not been an easy one. Many of our comrades remain imprisoned in Belarus, where they continue to face unprecedented pressure: they are placed in punishment cells, transferred to prison regimes, and given additional sentences.

💔 Igor Olinevich went on a hunger strike for a month in the penal colony

After being transferred from prison to Penal Colony No. 20 this autumn, Igor Olinevich was immediately placed in a punishment cell. It has now become known that the anarchist maintained a hunger strike for a month.

We will have a presentation tomorrow at #39C3 as part of Self Organized Sessions at Stage H at 16:00. The talk will be about the past and future of resistance against the regime of Lukashenko in #Belarus. During the events we will be collecting money for political prisoners in Belarus. #Anarchism

I attached few pics of the action in the stadium. And on september 25th we made an info event about punk in Belarus including repression in Belarus since 2020.

On the info event we gathered donations for ABC Belarus.

«We, few guys from the antifascists fanscene of Babelsberg 03 have made few solidarity actions including a solidarity shirt to raise awareness for political prisoners in Belarus in general and to support jailed MTZ Ripo fans.

The solidarity action in the stadium was on september 19th.

The other day we received a letter from Babelsberg antifascists:

Prison punishments demonstrate not only absurd attempts at "disciplining and punishment," but also a manifestation of biopower — control over when a prisoner's body can and cannot move, and punishment for movement or lack thereof at "inappropriate" times.

It's not only criminalised to express any form of dissent in Belarus. Showing solidarity with political prisoners is also punishable, even when it comes from their parents.

In the following three examples, you will learn how this form of repression looks like in the case of anarchists.

This coming weekend, 22 and 23 November, Amsterdam will host another book fair where you can purchase books published by AHC Belarus.

This is extremely brave and tiring. We know what it's like and we see you. We hope we all needed this little open letter to just see each other and not feel lonely in our perspectives on the war in Ukraine.

Therefore, we wanted to send our solidarity back to those who speak up in a hostile environment, who organise our events knowing it can lead to loud discussions or cancellations, who create circles for supporting Ukrainian comrades in the context where noone cares or attacks your position

While for us, people that come from another region, this exclusion is merely abstract (we are coming back to our circles where we are supported and welcome), for people who have to live and act in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Balkans - exclusion means a very practical consequence.

Talking about controversial topics and having a different opinion in the anarchist movement is often linked to silencing, exclusion or boycotting you or your group. Nobody wants this.

Not once have we brought up the topic of the complexity this war brings in our region and were met with gratitude from the audience who quietly supported (or at least wanted to hear) our position but could never talk about it in their movements.

What we wanted to focus on is not our exclusion, but the bravery one needs these days to have an opinion in our circles that goes against the mainstream or hegemonic line of thought.
