I see your point for that first wave of sales, but don’t the games that have staying power - continued sales over time - generally rely on players having fun at the table?

Amazing you broke through tbh. Once I got handed off to Marriott’s “Elite rep” line and sat on hold another 20 minutes, I went into self-serve mode with Booking.com. I’m now taking a train in from the burbs, but was able to preserve precious game buying budget.

Like someone owns the property. I’m willing to negotiate with them directly if they’d like to get my money I was going to pay for the room.

I’m in the same boat, including calling the “we don’t monitor this line” number. I also tried going to the Sonder app and it just redirects to Marriott. Sounds like a bad business breakup and we’re the shucks caught in the middle.

Years ago flying from New York to L.A. at night, I was half-asleep watching The Lake House (Keanu Reeves & Sandra Bullock) without sound, listening to chill music. I still couldn't tell you what it's about but it had a magic mailbox, time-travel letters to each other and a cute dog. Five star flight
