I’m just glad to be back at it. It will take some time to get back to where I was.

I just started “The Exorcist.” Holy crap, Blatty could write!

Sounds like a church where I am that does a “Beef & Bullets” event. They grill and shoot guns. They held one less than a week after a school shooting. I texted their pastor and let him have it for how tone deaf it was. His response? *crickets*

Wait… summer is MAKING its last stand. I made it sound like it’s testifying before Congress. It’s early and I haven’t had coffee yet.

Summer is taking its last stand for three more days. It’s so swampy out here. 🥵

Slow one mile recovery jog to test that sore hip. It’s not quite ready yet.

But not for Christ.

He was a martyr for empire and its evil minions: violence, racism, misogyny, homophobia, and white supremacy.

His Jesus looked way more like Caesar than the Christ of Scripture.

I knew a <23:00 2 miler would be a helluva stretch, but I tried anyway. First mile was good but I couldn’t keep it up. I’m close, though…

Fighting a mild cold. Since few things are more miserable than jogging with a cold, I walk. It’s actually a nice morning for a walk as it’s not blazing hot or humid.

I remember watching that interview. In Sunday School. As a kid. 😳

Some run to clear their minds. Mine has to be clear to have a good run. It’s pretty cluttered today, so I slowly trudged around the ‘hood. It’s also hot and I have bubble guts and sore legs.

“Together” started slow and was a little disjointed, and then the third act was all gas, no breaks. 😱

A really good metaphor for relationships and identity within them. Neon is putting out some bangers.

“Weapons” could be one of the smartest horror films I’ve seen in a long time. The structure of the film alone is compelling by itself.

Great acting. Great scares. Unexpected twists and jumps. And a whole lotta WTF?!?
