thanks, Andy! some of the pixel alignment mismatch bothers me a little, but overall this style is a lot of fun to do 💪

Blender render. A pair of four-wheel in-line skates sit against a baby pink background. They're a bright blue and electric green, laced with yellowing laces. On the back, they have a pull-label edged with purple.

scruffy skates 🛼🛼

spent a bit too long on this for what i'm gonna use the model for but, here we are! placing pixels is addictive

i'd hate to see this building go. it's been referred to a lot as a geographical landmark in my family - 'oh, near that nice fire station?'

would be neat to see it converted into something else rather than destroyed!

n'aw, thanks, Darbs! i thought it would take a lot longer for any personal style to come across in 3D, but it's somehow coming more naturally than 2D ever did 😅 maybe this is my calling.....

Blender render. A low poly model of a pair of in-line rollerskates. It hasn't been textured yet so it appears white, with multiple lighting points casting various shadows.

no part of me wants to UV unwrap this right now

there's something about 3D modelling that ticks SO many boxes for me

i love creating a plan of attack (e.g. how to start, what is the most efficient way to achieve x)... and then keeping things organised and tidying up after yourself so the light hits it nice and your UVs are neat

it's such a joy!

+ good luck with TagSpaces! it's my solution to photo gallery / art reference organisation. i like using keywords to narrow down searches in my collection of digital things, and TagSpaces seems the simplest version of that out there right now

let me know if you find a Google Drive solution!!

UGH. yes. their AI marketing is bolshy, but you can ignore the AI entirely once you're using Notion... i would rather use something without AI for sure

the main thing i use Notion for is databases, which Obsidian is trialling in beta at the moment. i've just never quite gelled with Obsidian :/

i'm on this journey too! moving all my files to an external SSD and organising with TagSpaces. not sure what's next after that, as having stuff in the cloud is incredibly useful. migrating docs over to Notion too, which isn't perfect, but not as bad as Google (and it's getting an offline mode soon)

Some people just seem to want to eliminate all potential sources of discomfort, no matter how small or innocuous, from their lives. Fiction allows you to model experiencing big emotions in a safe controlled setting, and I just don't think any good comes of avoiding that to this degree

ah, well done!! i'm having a good time with it, wish i'd started sooner but just gotta keep the habit going now 💪

if a tree falls in a forest and i'm not there to mark it as 'Fallen' in my 'Tree tracker' spreadsheet, does it make a sound?

28.07.2025 21:15 — 👍 3    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

RIGHT. i've exercised *checks spreadsheet* at least half an hour a day, nearly every day, for the last 25 days and it's already made a noticeable difference

my energy + strength, my mental and physical fatigue... even my ADHD symptoms (am currently unmedicated so i'll take anything i can get lmao)

i nearly started with Arc and gave up for the same reasons! Zen's a bit rough around the edges from time to time but overall i absolutely love it 💕

Screenshot. Image shows a small portion of a Windows taskbar, on which are three icons. In order, they're Zen browser's three nested white circles on a black background, Pocket Cast's two nested circles with a quarter chunk removed on a black background, and Clip Studio Paint's grey paperclip-like swirl on a white background.

three of the programs i use on a very regular basis all have monochrome circle-y logos that i constantly mix up and it drives me NUTS
