Hey hey BlueSky, it’s been a minute! Glad to be back… the last few months have been a LOT and silly me brain-glitch blanked that this amazing community exists. 💕 So what’d I miss?

It blows my mind how many conservatives still assume that meritocracy and DEI are opposing approaches, rather than complementary.

#DEI is necessary for #MEI to be factual.

It’s NOT about handing jobs to folks unqualified to do them. Never was.

Why is this so hard for folks to grasp?! 😫

Please don’t blame Elon’s actions on autism.

Last week the ward’s co-op student was attempting to paint a cartoon bear. So I grabbed my pencils and designed my own.

This bear is a definite vibe. Bummer.

I find it endlessly fascinating which items get confiscated by the inpatient nurses and which don’t.

For example; freshly sharpened pencil crayons? Have all you like. Dental flossing sticks? DANGER! ABSOLUTELY NOT!! 😱

2/2 …thought it a cute rebrand of ‘divergent’, sometimes simply referring to myself as “extra spicy” due to my many diagnoses.

I understand now that people have been hurt by this.

If you like the term for yourself, enjoy. But let’s all stop using it towards others in the ND community.

In case you missed the discussion around the term #Neurospicy, a significant portion of the neurodivergent community has very clearly expressed that the term is offensive for them and rooted in racial othering.

After a few days inpatient I get REALLY BONKERS PROUD of anything I’ve coloured. Like “could this be taped to the wall?” level proud. I’m normally never proud of anything I do; but in here? Full on kindergarten brag.

My hospital bed flashes red lights whenever I sit on it. It continues all night long. I figure I’m either being prepped for launch and/or fat shamed by an adjustable bed – like it’s screaming “Nooo get off! Halp! NURSE!!” the whole time. Much restful.
