It could be a class thing (usually is), but David Cameron and Ramsay MacDonald go against that argument.

Is it just that uncommon first names from any era jump out at you: Gordon, Tony, Teresa, Boris or going back further Neville, Winston, Clement and Ramsey. Poor old John Major or James Callaghan need their surname to stand out. Isnβt this true across all walks of life not just politics?
