I also reflected on Meta’s recent move from third-party fact-checking to Community Notes, which, to me, feels like a digital Ouroboros: platforms dismantling the very mechanisms they once built to fight misinformation.

I had the opportunity to take part in the Milton Wolf Seminar as one of Emerging Scholars, held under the theme “Ouroboros: The Infinite Loop of Media, Democracy, and Diplomacy” from April 8-10, in Vienna. In my presentation, I discussed how generative AI is reshaping the fact-checking ecosystem.
