It's coffee years until it's coffin years. ☕⚰️ I like ghosts, ETs, archaeology, snack foods and naps. Other stuff too, but those are pretty good. Mother to a toddler, fiancee to an exceptionally tolerant man.

Digital illustration of a momma Sasquatch and her offspring that is clinging to her back. They are deep in the forest. She is looking to the left at something outside the picture frame, while Babyfoot is looking at the viewer. In the background is a white tailed deer looking in the same direction like Big Momma Foot.

I updated a bit my #Bigfoot #illustration. Just adding some highlights and details. Currently, I am struggling a bit, and I need to be careful with my #art projects, because I feel a bit like deleting everything. #cryptozoology #cryptids #strugglingArtist

Just witnessed my millennial fiancee, who hates phone calls, look at a call marked "suspected spam" and........ Answer it??? I'm so confused. He's still talking to them. Answering a survey. My love, do they want your SIN as an interpretive dance or is verbal read out okay? 😭🤦🏼‍♀️

The audacity... She sits on me of her own accord and then looks inconvenienced... 😭 #cats

Ernest Hemingway once said,
“In our darkest moments, we don’t need advice.”
What we truly need is the power of human connection: a quiet presence, a gentle touch, or the smallest gesture that reminds us we’re not alone.

I guess I'm definitely in my 30s because I'm losing my mind over the joke in this magician's handout pamphlet.

My photo shows the left side profile of a head of a cave lion made of mammoth ivory some 40,000 years ago (Aurignacian culture). The ivory would originally have been white in colour but is now a light creamy brown with a surface sheen, and darker patches caused by time spent buried in the ground. Carved details include mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. There is cross hatching behind the ears to indicate the mane. It measures 2.95 cm in length x 2.11 cm height.

Something wonderful for the weekend!

About 40,000 years ago, during the #IceAge, an ancient artist skilfully sculpted this tiny head of a cave lion from mammoth ivory. It is one of the World’s oldest known works of figurative art.

That's it. I will not stay at a hotel that doesn't offer a breakfast owl and bed dolphin ever again.*

*I was going to add in the 'comfortable sheep' but then decided, as a NZer that wasn't the best idea.

My 3YO after insisting we watch a cartoon episode w/ a ghost that we've seen 1000 times and he loves: No! I don't like ghost!

Me, whose brain and mouth aren't connected: You don't like ghosts? Are you even my child?

3YO: No.

Under mosa fant Lars Ole og Tormod det største helleristnings-skipet på 125 år På en loddrett vegg dekket av mose fant helleristnings-jegerne Lars Ole Klavestad og Tormod Fjeld et flere meter langt skip.

A pair of beautiful #Roman glass cups, in a bluey-green glass with white & gold 'snaking' decoration. Found near Köln (Germany), they're a lovely example of the glassware made by skilled craftsmen on the Rhine - and absolutely do not look their 1700+ years of age! AncientBlueSky

A 7th century carved Pictish symbol stone which was discovered in 1936 during excavations at the Knowe of Burrian - a broch at Netherbrough, Harray, in the Orkney Isles. Now part of the collections at Orkney Museum in Kirkwall. 📸 My own. #FindsFriday #Archaeology #Orkney

The Nadröj is IKEA's answer to a budget friendly Grandma's China Cabinet. Built to last, it will house all of your trinkets that you'll never remember to dust and certainly won't use, until you move and realise it's impossible to disassemble and unwieldy to move. It's the new tenants problem now.

A rune stone seen against the red paint of a cathedral wall. The script of the stone is contained within a serpentine pattern that runs along the edge of the stone, with three rectangular boxes framed by the serpent. the boxes contain the remainder of the script.

Yesterday, I had a chance to revisit the rune stone of Växjö Cathedral. It is dated to c.1000, & the translation on the nearby information plaque runs accordingly: "Tyke - Tyke Viking - erected this stone in memory of Gunnar, Grim's son. May God help his soul".

These are the (incredible) contents of a burial on the island of Aegina. The jewellery dates to between 1850-1550 BC & is Minoan craftsmanship. It is of the finest quality - dazzling, delicate & breathtaking in equal measure.

#FindsFriday and it’s a straight up classic: the Sutton Hoo ship burial. Dating from the first quarter of the 7th century, it’s thought to be the grave of Raedwald, an East Anglian king. Here, the world famous helmet, shoulder clasps, belt buckle & purse lid.
