When you are driving a car, you are driving a deadly weapon.
That's why you have to avoid pedestrians and bicycles, *even if the cyclist or pedestrian is breaking laws.*
The law gives them right of way.
You're driving a weapon and they aren't.
You need to hear the goal call in Inuktitut.

18.02.2026 03:38 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0It's a twisted perspective that we have a near universal 'hate' with parking enforcement and the bylaw officers enforcing it.
Instead, I would suggest remembering we have limited public space, owned by ALL of us, and we have these fine humans making sure this space is being used fairly.
This Team USA womenβs team just had another shutout victory with another 5 goals. They are so close to matching the 98 Olympic team that scored 36 in just 6 games, but that team gave up 8 goals, and this team only 1 goal! π€― what we are getting to witness is the greatest display of womenβs hockey

Soon, the Chief of Police will be coming to City Council to discuss the budget.
CBC has claimed, using data from the Ministry of PSSG, that Victorians pay the highest cost per capita for policing in BC.
My questions are these:
1. Is this data factually accurate?
2. If yes, why is it the case?
Paved urban plaza with bench in the foreground and 2 people riding bikes in front of a background of plantings and urban art in the shape of huge metal flowers.
I LOVE that my city, Victoria, BC, Canada, keeps building out its protected bike lane network. This means:
1. We can get around easily, safely, and joyfully, avoiding the burden of car ownership
AND
2. We donβt have to spend endless hours begging the city for safe infrastructure. #yyj
A reminder that Victoria implemented a permit fee holiday for the next 12 months.
*All* building-related fees are waived, including plumbing, electrical, development, etc.
Meant to offset high costs and account for changing regs. Itβs covered by our dev. reserves.

Keep this in mind when people claim cars mean business β closing Central #Madrid to cars over holidays resulted in a 9.5% boost in retail spending on its main shopping street: STUDY.
There was also a 71% drop in air pollution.
